Media Release: 20 October 2011CTC adds JAA A330 type rating training Approval to extensive portfolio
World leading airline training provider CTC Aviation has been awarded UK CAA and JAA Approval to deliver A330 type rating training.
CTC Aviation Services Limited – the Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) division of CTC Aviation Group plc (CTC) – has been Approved by the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to deliver B737/757/767, BAe 146 and A320 type rating training for airlines worldwide since the JAA TRTO Approval process was introduced.
Over the past 20 years the company has developed a client base of more than 50 airlines around the globe and trains between 1200-1900 aircrew each year through its training centres in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
“We have always worked in close partnership with our airline clients to develop solutions to meet their needs. Adding the A330 type rating training approval to our portfolio was triggered by a request from one of our existing A320 clients looking to expand into long haul, higher density operations,” says Captain Mike Redrupp, Head of Training and Executive Director for CTC Aviation Services Limited. “We already have a very experienced team of A330 Type Rating Instructors and Examiners (TRI/TREs) and we are proud that our existing clients rate our training and overall service delivery so highly that they have chosen to keep all their training ‘under one roof’ with CTC. We are also in discussion with other A330 operators around the world regarding how we can support their training requirements over the coming years. ”
CTC as an airline training partner works hard to ensure a seamless delivery, uniquely incorporating the client airline SOPs within the standard CTC type rating course footprint. The company’s comprehensive portfolio extends across the full range of pilot training, from ATPL, CPL and MCC through type rating (including conversion and recurrent training), command upgrade, instructor/examiner programmes and non technical skills courses for both pilots and cabin crew. Beyond training delivery, the CTC team will also manage all the operational and administrative aspects as part of the service. Additionally, CTC has areputation for providing resourcing solutions for airlines around the world by carrying out
aircrew selection as well as supplying both cadet and experienced pilots through programmes such as “CTC Wings” and “CTC FlexiCrew”.
“We are always keen to explore new avenues to support both existing and new clients,” said Captain Redrupp. “Being part of one of the fastest moving industries today, we work hard to ensure we remain ahead of the game and well placed to provide the best solutions for
airlines around the world.”
